Ergaz - Akenerji Project

The Ergaz - Akenerji Natural Gas Project was commissioned in September, 2001. The project was for the local automation of three reducing and measurement stations of Akenerji in Çanakkale, Çorlu and Bursa. The three RMS stations provide natural gas for co-generation systems.

Each RMS station is equipped with a Motorola MOSCAD RTU system collecting digital and analog signal status and values from the field devices, as well as performing AGA calculations and PID loops. The stations are also equipped with Metso Automation's S/3 SCADA systems for local control and monitoring of stations.

Other key features of the system include HART interface capability, emergency operator panel, gas chromatograph data transfer from remote stations, and flow computer interface and station shutdown logic. All inputs to hazardous area are via IS barriers and all outputs are via glass fuses.

Each station is also equipped with modems for redundant SCADA communicatons to primary and secondary SCADA centers located in Yapracık-Ankara and Pendik-Istanbul.
