Kayseri Mobile Billing Project

Kayseri Water and Sewarege Utility, to provide a better service for its customers, has purchased two vehicles equipped with SYS's wireless mobile billing system.

The system is mainly composed of a Unix based host computer system for customer accounts and a remote Unix terminal for billing located in the vehicle.

The mobile billing system is developed by SYS and it is connected to the central computer system via a conventional radio. The terminal is usually installed in a minivan and consisting of a terminal computer, a printer, a vehicle radio device and SYS's WDM1000 radio modem.

A corresponding WDM1000 and a radio is also installed at the utility center and wired to host computer to provide communication between the central system and the minivan.

A conventional RF repeater is also used to provide city-wide RF coverage.

The software developed by SYS enables data exchange with the host computer system, and therefore provides online billing and collection.
