VLC17A Vehicular Location Controller

Overview

VLC17A is a vehicular location controller designed work with GSM, mobitex and conventional radio networks..

The unit incorporates two RS232 ports, one of which can be integrated with a 12 channel GPS unit.

VLC17A interfaces with Mobitex radio modems or GSM data modules to transfer position information over existing wireless infrastructures.

In the GSM mode, the unit transfers position data using SMS. The frequency and other characteristics of position transfer is programmable via a personal computer.

The unit supports MASC protocol for interfacing with Mobitex radio modems.
